Job Title: Sales Manager for Contract Surety
The client is seeking a Sales Manager for Contract Surety. This is not an underwriting role. The position involves:
• Learning and managing their Direct Surety Line of Credit program, sales process, and product knowledge.
• Hiring and leading a team of field and in-house contract surety sales staff who will call on and meet with contractors engaged in public work.
Job Description:
The client is a property and casualty insurance company licensed in all 50 states and US territories, incorporated in 1930, Treasury Listed, and Rated "A" Excellent by AM Best Company.
They employ a digital platform supporting their direct contractor relationship and are embarking on a national expansion plan. They are searching for an experienced leader to build and lead a team of surety producers.
Qualifications:
• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Commitment to develop and overachieve production plans
• Sales, management, and underwriting experience
• Active property and casualty license
Compensation:
• Base salary of up to $200,000 (based on experience)
• Direct commission on directly produced business
• Commission override on producer-produced business
• Expense reimbursement
• Other incentives
Additional Details:
• The candidate must be local to office in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.
• The team they hire will be in-office and remote, making field calls within an assigned region.
• The role requires business professional attire (suit and tie for men - clean-shaven; business attire for women).
• Office hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM with a one-hour lunch.
