Join Scripps Health a Manager, Special Gifts for our Mercy Hospital locations.
This role is primarily responsible for developing, retaining, and enhancing the donor pipeline, as well as cultivating relationships with donors to advance them to the major gift level. Additionally, the position encompasses grant writing, donor stewardship, and the solicitation of major gifts, in collaboration with Development Officers.
What you will do:
- Assist in cultivating and soliciting special gifts ($1k-$25k) from individuals for assigned priority projects, centers, programs or campaigns, with/without volunteer assistance as appropriate.
- Provide stewardship to all donors within areas of responsibility.
- Serve as a key member of the Major Gifts group and works with Director of Development to identify, cultivate and solicit gift of $25k+.
- Work closely with Foundation staff to develop and optimize strategies to obtain gifts for areas of responsibility.
- Establish regular communication with key individuals from hospitals, centers or programs to assist in identifying specific operational, capital and endowment programs requiring private support.
- Represent Scripps and presents institutional case and funding priority specifics to civic groups and other public and private organizations.
