The Specialist, Finance is responsible to conducting moderately complex financial, accounting and economic analyses, including journal entry preparation, taxation, treasury, payments and internal and external reporting.
Position Responsibilities:
- Involve in the daily payment review and processing
- Involve in review on employee claim and reimbursement
- Involve in daily collection reconciliation and suspense management
- Prepare/ post journal entries, assist in the month-end closing of the accounts
- Perform reconciliations, review and investigation on accounting issues
- Assist in preparation the financial reporting to both internal and external stakeholders
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Participate in departmental special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/ accounting, professional qualification (ACCA, CPA) is a plus
- At least 3 to 4 years of relevant working experience in finance, accounting and taxation.
- Candidates with experience in banking or insurance companies will be of added advantage
- Basic knowledge in Accounting and Taxation and operational systems, knowledge of the Sun Accounting System will be of added advantage
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of IFRS will be of added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word is required
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, possess good inter-personal communication skill both internally and externally
- High comfort level working in a diverse environment and a dynamic team player
