This unique position provides representative payee services for individuals unable to manage their own funds and oversees procurement for the organization, ensuring timely delivery of needed supplies. Responsibilities
Payee Functions
Receive and manage beneficiaries’ funds, including budgeting, bill paying, and daily check/cash disbursements.
Coordinate with the Social Security Administration, other agencies, and case managers.
Maintain controls and accuracy while handling beneficiary financial transactions.
Exercise discretion and diplomacy when working with beneficiary requests.
Meet all reporting requirements by regulatory bodies such as the SSA.
Provide excellent customer service to a diverse population.
Procurement Functions
Review and process purchase orders; ensure accuracy and completeness.
Maintain supplier relationships and resolve issues as they arise.
Monitor supplier performance and verify receipt of goods.
Collaborate with departments to understand and fulfill procurement needs.
Maintain accurate procurement records and reconcile credit card statements.
Finance & Organizational Functions
Handle daily Compass Health bank deposits and online entries.
Ensure compliance with licensing, regulatory, and contractual mandates.
Attend supervision and team meetings; maintain all required trainings.
Safeguard client information per Compass Health’s HIPAA policies.
Uphold agency values, ethics, and a commitment to multicultural competency.
Requirements
BA Degree in Behavioral Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field OR a combination of education and experience totaling at least 4 years.
Experience in social service/non-profit environments.
Familiarity with custodial checking/trustee accounting software preferred.
Procurement, finance, or purchasing experience a plus.
