Compass Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Director to oversee the overall operations and functions of the agency’s billing services. This leadership position is responsible for forecasting revenue projections, managing billing and collections, ensuring compliance with payer regulations, and driving improvements to key revenue cycle indicators such as AR days, cash collections, bad debt, and denials.
The Director works closely with the CFO, Executive Committee, and program managers to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely revenue management.

Responsibilities
Oversee daily business office operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Lead all activities related to claims management, collections, and cash posting.
Analyze and streamline billing and collections processes; implement automation where possible.
Monitor and report on staff productivity and performance metrics.
Manage credentialing processes to ensure timely clinical staff approvals.
Collaborate with CFO on revenue projections and financial planning.
Produce aging trial balances, monitor reimbursement trends, and address cash-flow issues.
Oversee unbilled accounts, reporting weekly and implementing corrective actions.
Develop dashboards and reports to track productivity and performance.
Assist in preparation of departmental budgets and financial audits.
Maintain knowledge of current Federal, State, and payer regulations, communicating updates across impacted teams.
Oversee payment posting, reconciliations, adjustments, and bad debt management.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and ethical handling of protected health information.
Provide leadership, training, and performance management for revenue cycle staff.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, or related field.
10+ years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle experience, including 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of revenue cycle management, third-party reimbursement, Medicare/Medicaid rules, CPT/ICD coding, and billing regulations.
Experience with receivables software, billing platforms, and EHR systems (Credible Behavioral Health EHR preferred).
HFMA or AHIMA certification preferred.
Strong financial management, forecasting, and analytical skills.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to influence across levels of the organization.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
